PARKING LOT RESURFACING:
Resurfacing is complete. Mahalo to everyone for being so patient during this major project. It was a little disruptive, but went pretty smooth. CJ Peterson, Inc. did a great job.
ENTRY DOORS and JALOUSIE WINDOW REPLACEMENT:
Our next project will be replacing the main entry doors and jalousie windows with awning windows and doors. This project is being reviewed by the Diocesan Planning and Building Commission and should start in September.
PHOTO VOLTAIC (PV) INSTALLATION:
We are part of the Diocese Phase II PV (photo voltaic) installation
project. We will be installing PV panels on the church and school roofs. This is a PPA installation and there is no “out-of-pocket” cost to the parish. The PV installation will reduce our electrical costs significantly. Preliminary electrical design for our installation is complete and the Net Metering Agreement was recently submitted to the City & County Building Dept for approval. Following approval, the contractor, Trane Corp, will finalize the electrical drawings. Our installation start date is dependent on all parishes in Phase II completing their preliminary drawings and net
metering agreements. Installation start is still months away.
PEWS, CHAIRS and REORIENTATION of the
CHURCH:
Keep an eye out for drawings that will be posted in the church, showing the church with pews and different orientations. Drawings will show seating oriented in a mauka -makai direction and Ewa-Waikiki direction. We’ll be taking surveys to see which orientation is preferred and how people feel about changing from chairs to pews.
