1. Due to the overwhelming response to the mail in survey and phone calls to the office, all Masses, with the exception of the Sunday 5 PM Mass, have been closed. Because so many more people wish to participate in these Masses, we have created a “standby list”. Please come to the Mass you wish to attend and sign in with the Ushers on the standby list. You will be seated and will not be turned away. Many parishioners who are on the list have not been coming due to continued fear of the virus. If our attendance begins to fill up the Church and Pastoral Center we may be contacting those on the standby list to ask that you choose an alternate Mass. Remember we do continue to celebrate Mass on Monday through Friday mornings at 6:30 AM and on Saturday at 7 AM. You do not need to register to attend these Masses. Just sign in at the front door. Bishop Larry has extended the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass to all the people of the Diocese of Honolulu and all visitors to the Diocese of Honolulu though August 31, 2020. You are not obligated to attend a Sunday Mass until September.
2. We strongly recommend that you receive Communion in the hand for the health safety of all. During communion, please remain at your seats. The Priest or Eucharistic minister will come to you. Stand up at your seat only if you are receiving Communion.
3. Please bring your own disinfecting wipes to clean your seats before and after Mass. If you do not have any, we do have wipes available in the Church. Please do not leave the wipes or any trash in your seating area. Trash containers are located in many areas outside of the church.
4. Our Outreach Ministry has recently seen an increase of people coming to us for food assitance. We are currently serving about 100 families per week. We are critically low on non-perishable food items. If you are able to help, please drop off your food donations at the parish office. Our primary focus is to provide food assistance to those who are having difficulty during the emergency. Toiletry supplies are not needed at this time.
5. A Baccalaureate Mass in celebration of graduates of the 8th grade, High School, and College or Universities will be held on Monday, June 29 at 7 PM in the Church. There will be limited seating for our graduates and their immediate family members due to social distancing restrictions. Contact Laurie Munoz at the parish office no later than June 24 to RSVP and for further information.
6. Next week there will be a second collection for Our Lady of Good Counsel School. Your generous contributions are greatly appreciated. You my place your contribution in the Collection Box at the altar marked SECOND COLLECTION.
