August 29, 2018Fifth-grader, Sophia Lafferty’s poem iPhone to God was selected to be featured in the Appelley Publishing 2018 Rising Stars Collection! In the same book, we found our recent graduate’s poem Sauce. Colby Macapagal was recognized last Spring for his achievement and now we can view it on page 146 of the Rising Stars book. Sophia’s winning entry clearly exhibits two of our student learning expectations:
OLGC Students are Active Christians and Effective Communicators
Teachers are expected to provide lessons which lead the students to fulfill these expectations and it’s always wonderful to witness their achievements! Way to go, OLGC students!
