Rev. Fr. Pascual Abaya, Pastor, welcomed the 111 attendees from various churches , family members and friends, Project Dana volunteers and Waianae Comprehensive Center staff members.
Belinda Valenzuela from Texas has been taking care of her 88-year mother, who lives in Pearl City and who was diagnosed with Dimentia. She found the presentation informative and said she now has a better perspective of the situation and wished she learned about Dimentia earlier to avoid unnecessary frustration.
The presentation, which was sponsored by the OLGC Ohana Ministry for the Homebound, consisted of three topics: “The 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease, “Communication” and “Behaviors.”
