“Be the best stewards of the Gospel. To be real stewards is to offer ourselves by being fully dedicated to God and united with Jesus through the Holy Eucharist.” These are the opening remarks of Bishop Larry Silva at the Stewardship Day 2017 on January 28, 2017 at Mary, Star of the Sea Parish, attended by clergy and representatives of parishes on Oahu and other islands.
“Why Make Stewardship a Way of Life” was the topic presented by the keynote speaker, Fr. Andrew Kemberling, Chair of the International Catholic Stewardship Council (ICSC). Our pastor Fr. Pascual and members of our Stewardship Committee sat in various breakout sessions to include Building a Stewardship Parish, Data Management and Financial Services and The Language of Stewardship among others.
Our Stewardship Committee members found the workshops to be beneficial in facilitating, fostering and empowering our parish community.
